Trained at Wireless College, Colwyn Bay, when that closed moved to Plymouth CFE then on to Plymouth Polytechnic where I gained MRGC Cert in Oct.1973, also took DTI Radar course there. Worked for: P&O Passenger Division - RMS Himalaya / MCDY / GBDK; RMS Chusan / GGZV; SS Orsova / GNDL ; SS Canberra / GBVC MIMCo./Ben Line - M/V Benlawers / GNOU Allbourg Shipping - MT St. John III / 6ZED Sanko Steamship Co.- M/T World Guard / 6ZKX; M/T Golden Gate Sun / S6BV Sealink - SS Rhodri Mawr / GJTN Radio Officer in Merchant Navy Reserve from November 1989 to 2004 After the sea, went to work for Plessey as Design/Development Engineer & Design Authority for various Military Avionic/Naval/Army Units/Systems. Then GEC Marconi Avionics/BAE Systems/Selex as Engineering Project Manager/Technologist; then after heart problems, Programs Manager. then went into the Commercial world, Negotiation and Maintenance of contracts UK & World Wide used on various Military Naval & Avionic Systems. Until I retired.
